CERTIFICATES

As additional service TERAWATT may provide independently certified renewable energy production certificates like RECS or certificates in a form as defined by the client. Governmental programs in different European countries support the renewable energy production, wheras mainly the consumer of energy will have to cover these costs with increased expenses. TERAWATT assists in finding a well-adjusted balance between the environmental obligations and the tough international competition even beyond Europe’s borders. Environmental responsibility is the key for a lot of business opportunities. Changing legislation is opening new opportunities in this business segment, which TERAWATT will follow in the coming years as a flexible and quick responding market participant.

Certificates as defined by the KYOTO-PROTOCOL and the corresponding EUROPEAN DIRECTIVES have enabled a local market for GREEN HOUSE GAS REDUCTION CERTIFICATES on a regulated basis. TERAWATT is acting as counterpart for sale and purchase of EUAs and CERs, wheras these kinds of certificates are needed by the major industry in order to cover its legal obligations in Europe.
